Join this weekly workshop to jumpstart your figure drawing journey and get more comfortable drawing in the studio. Students of all levels will learn how to handle drawing the figure from start to finish and more advanced students will add knowledge to their existing level of skill. Lessons will include initial layout of the figure, edge mapping, and understanding the body’s underlying geometry and structure. Students will be encouraged to observe and analyze the figure and to apply learned techniques into a final drawing with values. Patrick will be sharing his knowledge through demonstrations and critique. By the end of the course students will have a better understanding of how to draw the figure with the goal of feeling more comfortable drawing on their own during life drawing sessions and drawing from reference images.
