Painting “loose” is more than a style, it’s an attitude. It’s a freedom from copying your reference. We build on principles . . . but we pursue individual expression. We may use photos, but we leave exact rendering behind. In this workshop you’ll find your painting easier, better, and more fun!
In just a few sessions Hyatt showed me how to loosen my brushstrokes and have a more 'painterly' style. My work still has a representational look but now has more of the 'artist' in the painting. Thanks Hyatt!
---Tom Herrington, San Clemente
Hyatt teaches the most natural approach to painting, particularly while I’m still learning to draw. He’s a most comfortable person to be around. Taking his training is the best money I’ve ever spent on art instruction.
