While working from a still-life, students will be guided through the process of constructing a drawing using shapes and lines to depict light, shadow, and form. Students will learn to draw quick studies of a still life at different angles and compose a picture using shapes and negative space.
Class will also focus on a longer drawings throughout the 6 weeks. Shane will demo from time to time--constructing a drawing with vine charcoal and setting up shadow shapes and discussing value. Each week, Shane will continue to give one on one attention helping students and sharing his knowledge.
