Thursdays starting May 11th-June 15th from 10-1pm


$265 plus suggested materials. 


Tom will demonstrate easy to follow techniques that will apply to both oil and acrylic painters. Students are encouraged to work from photo reference and paint on their own as Tom will educate students about composition, color mixing, brushwork, and how to capture different effects with paint. He will demonstrate to the group, as well as give attention to individuals through class time. Students can bring their own photo reference, or select from samples that will be available to work from.

A professional artist for almost 30 years, Tom is a member of Oil Painters Of America, and has received numerous awards throughout his career including the Art of California Gold and Bronze Award, The Artist’s Magazine and International Artist Magazine, and was featured in the International Artist’s Masters Showcase. His work has also been on the cover and featured in American Artist, The Artist’s Magazine and Southwest Art. Nationally represented by three art galleries, his work is internationally collected and in many important private corporate collections. Palette Knife

For Acrylics: Gloss Acrylic Medium (thin paint) or for Oil Paint: Liquin, or painting medium of preference or solvent free liquid/gel and Gamsol for thinning paint

Acrylic Glazing Medium (after you’ve applied paint) for oils you must wait to varnish

Small Canvas - 12” x 16” or 16" x 20"

Disposable Palette Pad

Acrylic Colors: Liquitex or Golden or Professional Grade Oil Colors such as Gamblin, Winsor Newton, Holbein etc...
